The Regent Theatre is currently listed for auction on 26 March 2021. Today at Council's Ordinary meeting at 5:30pm Council will address The Regent Theatre which is listed within the Mayoral Minute. The recommendation is that Council await the outcome of the auction of the Regent Theatre to be held on 26 March 2021 before addressing any potential Council interest in purchasing the building.
If you do not agree with this recommendation we encourage you to contact Councillors at Mid-Western Regional Council to express your support for Council to investigate the purchase of Mudgee's iconic theatre.
Although this has been listed as a Mayoral Minute and therefore does not need a seconder, the recommendation still needs to be voted on by the Council and will need a majority vote supporting the recommendation to become a resolution of Council. Thank you for your continued support to save Mudgee's Regent Theatre. We now have 3,111 signatures on the petition to Mid-Western Regional Council to purchase The Regent Theatre.
